Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (2003)

Terminator 3

Terminator 3 is another good movie in the series. John Conner is older now and finds that SkyNet is again about to be activated. He and and old sweetheart need to get together with her General father to stop SkyNet. Meanwhile a newer terminator has been sent to kill him and all of his lieutenants. Arnold Schwarzenegger reprises his role as a terminator sent back to protect them.

Tek Net (1999)

Tek Net

In this final installment, Sid’s ex-wife is missing after she investigated a former tek lord. What did she stumble on in her research and where is she?

Another fast-paced book that is a good read.

Amazon Score 4.2/5
Thriftbooks Score 4.0/5

Just Sex and Nothing Else (2005)

Just Sex

This is a foreign film, English subtitled. As a foreign film, I was hoping for a fresh, new plotline. Sadly, I was mistaken.

Dora, after finding out that her boyfriend is actually married, swears off of men. But, she wants a baby so makes an arrangement with a coworker, just sex. Of course, she falls for him.

IMDB Score 6.6/10
Amazon Score 2.3/5

Fringe (2008)

In Fringe, an FBI agent, an institutionalized scientist and his son team up to investigate occurrences of what may be pattern on the fringe of science.

IMDB Score 8.5/10
Amazon Score 4.8/5

Teenagers from Outer Space (1959)

Teenagers from Outer Space

Derek, the son of the Supreme Leader, escapes from his comrades and tries to warn the inhabitants of Earth that his people are to use the planet for a feeding ground for their food animals, giant lobsters called Gargons.

There are mixed reviews but I found this to be pretty normal B movie acting and scripting.

IMDB Score 3.6/10
Amazon Score 4.0/5

Tek Kill (1997)

Tek Kill

In another installment, Jake and Sid need to find out who framed their boss of the murder of his girlfriend’s ex. Meanwhile Jakes son, Dan, has been kidnapped and they must find and free him as well.

Another good yarn, this is the 8th in the series.

Hot Tub Time Machine 2 (2015)

Hot Tub Time Machine 2

The guys travel forward in time, which is the past in an alternate universe to find the murderer so they can return to the past which is the future.

OK, this was as dumb as the original which is why this is a great movie.

IMDB Score 5.1/10
Amazon Score 2.7/5

T-Force (1994)

A hostage situation goes bad so cybernaut officers, T-Force, is called to handle the crisis. But, the T-Force members get out of hand and it’s up to a police lieutenant to handle them.

This is pretty standard B-Movie, Sci-Fi fare.

IMDB Score 4.4/10
Amazon Score 3.2/5

The Skeleton Twins (2014)

The Skeleton Twins

This was a disappointment. The scores were good but for a comedy/drama, the comedy was lacking. It was also a bit depressing.

Twins Maggie and Milo haven’t talked to each other in 10 years. Maggie gets a call from a hospital that Milo had tried to commit suicide so the meet up again in dubious circumstances. Maggie isn’t doing all that well herself. They become reacquainted and their relationship grows.

IMDB Score 6.8/10
Amazon Score 3.3.5

Idiocracy (2006)

Very average Joe Bauers and very average Rita are used in a hibernation project performed by the Army. What was supposed to be a 1 year slumber turned out to be 500 years. Through a trend of dumb people out-reproducing smarter ones, the world has been taken over by idiots. Therefore Joe ends up being the smartest person in the world.

This is actually a good movie and doesn’t suffer from huge stereotypes and bad scripting.

IMDB Score 6.6/10
Amazon Score 4.1/5
