Before the reboots, we had Christopher Reeve (and a couple of other actors) as Clark Kent. This is the origin story of the man of steel, how he left Krypton, landed on Earth, was adopted by the Kents, grew up on a farm and moved to Metropolis to become a hero.
This is the battle between Superman and Lex Luther as Lex tries to make a killing by buying inland properties and cause the coast to be reshaped with a nuclear bomb.

Definitely a foreign art film, we follow Marc as, in 1968 he fights for gay and women’s rights, and in the present meets Andre and tries to live his life.
This film jumps around and is hard to follow. I watched it because it won awards in foreign film festivals and followed the rights movements, but this wasn’t a great film.

A man lands on Earth from Venus. He has no name but he has the mission of making the first contact with humans. He asks to speak with leaders from across the world and set up a meeting with his superiors. Things don’t go all that well when the UK handles the initial meeting.
Not a bad film.

In Storm Trooper, a man escapes from a government facility and is tracked by a team of mercenaries. He ends up at the home of a woman that just killed her abusive husband. And, that’s pretty much it.

Starship Troopers: Invasion is an animated sequel to the live-action originals and actually rates higher than the other sequels.
After a rescue mission, a Psi officer takes the action to a classified project. Then the ship goes dark and has to be tracked and possibly rescued. Then things get bad.
Not a bad film and in line with the series.

This is another fun movie in the franchise.

Casper Van Dien reprises his role as Johnny Rico and a pretty complex sequel to Starship Troopers. In this movie, aside from the battling of aliens, Johnny is sent on a secret mission to rescue Sky Marshal Anoke and others on a bug planet, but it isn’t all that straightforward.
This wasn’t a bad movie. Not quite as good as the original, but not as bad as Starship Troopers 2.

Jake is on a case to prove that a murder was a copycat and not done by the Unknown Soldier. Along the way he gets mixed up with a plot to bring down the democratic government of England and one to build a SuperTek that would foil attempts to destroy Tek. In the meantime, his son Dan is kidnapped and he has to find him and his girlfriend.
Not a bad book, it is a quick read.
